Year 6 completed a Science investigation into the effects of yeast. As you can see in the pictures below the reaction of the yeast and sugar blew up the balloons to varying degrees.
Year 6 are competing in a Mathletics Challenge competition this week. After the first day we have three students in the top 100 in Europe.
Year 6 had an amazing time at the Halloween Party. Darius was the winner of the best costume prize in year 6. He made his outfit himself and did his own make-up.
In our ‘People in Action art topic we sketched pictures of Angels from the book Skellig. We then added a dash of colour to create light effects.
Pairs of children from Y6 D researched an environmental campaign and then created a poster to display what they found out. We explained the details of each poster in last Friday’s assembly.
Year 6 have been learning more about recounts this week. We read the extraordinary tale of Burke and Wills in our reading time. Our pupils created graphical representations of the text in chronological order. They were later able to retell the story to their neighbour just by looking at their notes.
Miss Bojana has been working at the the BIS for four years. She has a degree in Spanish language and Literature. She was born in Vrnjacka Banja. Her hobbies are dancing and reading.
